Fit & sizing
- The waistcoat should cover the trouser waistband with no shirt showing when you move
- Leave the bottom waistcoat button undone - it is cut that way
- Wear the jacket open with the waistcoat for a less formal line
Care
- Dry clean only - never machine wash or tumble dry
- Brush the jacket after wear and hang it on a wide wooden hanger
- Steam lightly from 20 cm; do not press the cloth flat with an iron
- Black wool shows lint - keep a clothes brush close
- Do not dry clean the waistcoat more than needed
- Not a tuxedo replacement
- Avoid brown shoes with the full black three-piece
- Do not button the jacket over the waistcoat
